Frequently Asked Questions

  • Cremation is the process by which an animal's remains are heated until they are returned to their basic elements. The ashes left behind can then be returned to you in your vessel of choice. The process provides a dignified way to have your pet returned to you.

  • Cremation offers a meaningful way to honour your pet’s life. It gives you the option to keep their ashes in a special place or to be scattered somewhere meaningful. It is the best option for people that cannot or do not want to bury their own pet.

  • Yes, our careful processes and checks will ensure you will receive only your pet’s ashes. If you do not wish to have the ashes returned to you, we can provide a non-return option. These ashes will be buried amongst privately owned native bush in Dunedin. With both options, all pets will receive the same care and dignity at the time of cremation.

  • We aim to return your pet’s ashes as promptly as possible. The timeline depends on the service you select, but we ensure a quick and respectful process to help you through this difficult time. The majority of pets will be returned within a week, if not sooner.
